AI isn't replacing game developers — it's changing what they spend their time on. Here's an honest, simple breakdown of what's actually happening inside studios right now.

A few years ago, "AI in game development" mostly meant smarter enemy pathfinding or slightly better matchmaking. Today, it means something much bigger — and also something much more complicated. Studios are using AI to write code, generate art, design levels, test bugs, and even craft NPC dialogue on the fly. The pace of change is real. But so are the concerns. It's not writing entire systems from scratch — but it's autocompleting functions, catching obvious bugs, and dramatically reducing the time developers spend on boilerplate. Junior developers are handling tasks that used to require far more experience, because the tools give faster feedback loops on gameplay decisions and mechanics.
